My Roommate Set Me Up on a Blind Date at Barton Springs 😳🏊‍♀️

So my roommate did something crazy... she set me up on a BLIND DATE! 😭

Her boyfriend's friend was in town visiting Austin. She said "He's cute, loves outdoors, you'll love him!" And I'm like... girl, last time you said that I ended up talking about crypto for an hour 😂

But I said yes. The date was at Barton Springs Pool – you know, that freezing cold natural pool in Zilker Park? 🥶

We met at 11 AM on Saturday. He was actually... cute! Tall, friendly, from Colorado. He brought coffee and we just sat by the water talking.

The good:
He was super chill, not on his phone at all 📱❌, laughed at my jokes, and didn't brag about his job!

The bad:
He lives in COLORADO 😭 Like, why does everyone I meet in Austin end up leaving?! He was just visiting for the weekend!

We swam (the water was SO cold I screamed lol), then got tacos after. He was sweet and said "If I move to Austin, can I call you?" I said yes! But... is that just something people say? 🤔

Update: He texted me yesterday from Colorado saying he misses Barton Springs... and me? 👀 Is he being serious or just being nice?
